The Speech Therapy Service evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and helps to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency.
We specialize in pediatric services, HABLAMOS ESPAÑOL.

Hello! I’m Monica
Bilingual M.S., CCC-SLP
I am a bilingual speech-language pathologist certified by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) with nearly two decades of experience.
I have experience working with a variety of developmental diagnoses including autism, speech delay, auditory processing disorders, Down Syndrome, childhood apraxia of speech, and fluency disorders. Dedicated to building meaningful relationships with bilingual children and families, and deeply values seeing children’s progress as they learn to communicate. I am from Colombia married to Marlon C. and mother of three young girls, which I pride as my most rewarding accomplishment.

Therapists must have a License/Certification:
• CCC in Speech-Language Pathology (Preferred)
• NC Board License in SLP Assistant/SLP (Required)
